Commissioned by Mutual of Omaha and FinStream TV, My Money Planners is a financial makeover show that features real families receiving advice from Mutual of Omaha financial advisors and host Jacqueline Schadeck. The 3-episode pilot series required a visual identity that was approachable yet professional, and distinct from Mutual of Omaha’s branding.
A clean yet friendly style brings warmth, personality and relatability to the financial literacy sponsored-content. The logo, on-screen typography and animated graphic elements are a modern take on a DIY aesthetic, including a hand-drawn illustration style and brush-stroke motif. The development of the visual identity was the result of mood-boarding and multiple concept proposals.
Animation sequences work to break down complex financial concepts and process into digestible visualizations for a non-financially literate audience. Development of the graphic pieces for these animations required extensive storyboarding.
The series is available on Roku and FinStream TV.
Video production and creative direction was managed by Franklin Street Films.
