The News Literacy Project commissioned a research survey to learn about teens’ information behaviors and mindsets and to assess the state of news literacy education. The 100-page report containers multiple sub-sections outlining key-findings, research methods, news literacy standards, and specific survey questions and responses.
The teen survey report required the design of interactive tables of contents, standardized 2-column text layouts, distinctive yet clear typography and imagery, top-of-page research section navigation, a more visual findings section, cover pages summarizing section findings and standards, and a bibliography. Additional promotional graphics included email and social media graphics, abridged key findings PDFs, and graphic assets for a web page.
This report was designed in collaboration with NLP’s Director of Design, who focused on the chart formatting and style, and the Senior Manager of Research. It is available online.
